Homemade Mac & Cheese

Say cheese! This one is sure to be remembered with great family memories. This is real comfort food that satisfies even the fussiest of eaters. 

1¾ cups Hollandia Dairy 2% Milk
2 cups uncooked macaroni
¼ cup margarine
8 oz. cheddar cheese
¼ cup flour
½ onion
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. pepper

Preheat oven to 350° degrees. Cook macaroni as directed. Meanwhile, cook on medium heat and stir margarine, onion, salt and pepper until onion is tender. Stir in flour until bubbly. Add Hollandia Dairy 2% Milk and heat to boiling; 1 minute. Remove from heat. In 2-quart casserole dish, layer macaroni and cheese. Pour sauce over the top and cook uncovered for 35-40 minutes. (Serves 2)
